My birthday rocked because of you!

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes!
I had a really nice, peaceful day. You all made me feel very loved.

If this piece looks a bit more sketchy than usual, that's becaaauuse..
I used the bday gift I bought for myself to draw it!

I bought the new 6th gen Ipad! I've been telling myself for a long time that I would get a cintiq when I'd earned it but they are very expensive.. and I'd heard a few times that some artists prefer the ipad to a cintiq for it's portability and multiple functions. So when the new cheaper ipad was released at a much lower price than even the cheapest cintiq, I decided to get one and I have to say it's really good! Not only is it cute and light but the apple pencil is pretty responsive and I was able to adapt to drawing directly on to a tablet quite quickly.

With the pencil and a student discount it cost me about £450 (VAT was about £80) and I intend to get lots of use out of it <3 esp in class! I recommend getting one if a cintiq is out of your price range or you want a drawing tablet that's fully portable and won't cost thousands of pounds. (but ofc do your research first and try the pencil in store to see what you think!)

Anyway thank you once again for wishing me a Happy Birthday! It was really lovely~
ps. My birthday rocked because of you guys.. not the ipad. I know I just gushed about it but srsly. You guys made me the most happy on the day. *points* I didn't use the ipad on my bday I was too busy eating. xD
